My family has been using Aquagear filters for 5 years now. I gave a water pitcher with a water filter subscription as a Christmas present to another member of my family. I'm happy with the quality and the taste of the water. I also like the idea of being a part of the bigger picture, providing clean water to people in Africa. And I love the idea of a free recycling of used filters. Great company with great ideas!
The only suggestion I have is to modify the pitcher a little, so inside the pitcher it has a space (maybe near the handle) for air to pass through (between the pitcher itself and the plastic part that a filter attaching to), so water flows easily when pouring water into a cup for drinking (out of the pitcher).
I also bought one for my son after I got mine. I was not able to get my Berkey filters so now I am hooked on aquagear !
